Hi Hope,
Darlene Hamilton, my mother-in-law just told me about you and your books. I can't wait to read them. I met your Mom and Dad in Ames, Iowa over ten years ago at Aunt Barbara Strikes home. My husband is Steve and his grandpa was your grandma's brother, Frank Hamilton. I have a 17 year old daughter who loves to write. I will direct her to your books. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Kristi...you know, I'd love to go back to that story and see what unfolds. I still might do that some day. I really had a fondness for the DC home that Mari's folks ran and for how Mari and Marcus reconnected slowly and realized that they had some shared dreams for their lives. Maybe a third book will happen...I appreciate your encouragement. Thanks for taking the time to write a post! -Hope

Hope, I too would love to read a book an Mari and Marcus and the new Chicago urban center. I loved Altar Call and feel as if I were friends with Mari and all her friends. I am not ready for this reading journey to end. Please do think of writing another book about Mari and Marcus.
Thank you and God Bless

Thank you so much, Natalie. I'm grateful that you made a connection with Mari (and friends) and that there were moments that resonated as truth for you. That thrills me to no end. I sometimes find that I'm writing zany incidences yet there is something familiar about them too. I'll realize that either it reflects how I felt during a specific personal time in life or that in a roundabout way, it is reflecting the dynamics of a situation I was in. I love that part...stumbling across more and more truths about life as a fiction story unfolds. Thanks again for the note. Some day I would like to revisit mari and marcus and follow up with a story about their lives together (or would it really unfold that way????) I do think they would end up together and venture into a married life. I wouldn't mess with that part. Take care.

Hope,

I just wanted to say thanks for sharing the talent the Good Lord has given you because I have truly enjoyed reading your fiction books. I agree with some of the comments posted above - I definitely think you have the ability to write situations that are almost mirror images of real life experiences. Your characters are great and I have to admit I have also hoped you would follow up Altar Call with another book about Mari and Marcus getting married and starting the home for children. It was an unexpected twist from the first book but I truly enjoyed how you showed the journey of Mari and her friends through some life changes.

Thank you,
Natalie
